By using a combination of Cyberware Whole Body 3D scanning and measurement software, the dimensional complexities of the human form have been mastered. CySize is a virtual tape measure, directly controlled by the user. DigiSize is an automated software measurement tool, computing a myriad of body measurements in seconds from 3D Whole Body scan data.
headus is the exclusive distributor for Cyberware 3D Color scanners in Australia and New Zealand. We have been 3D scanning since 1995, and have a Cyberware Whole Body 3D Scanner located in our Sydney office. For further information, contact Jill Smith.

Applications requiring a low cost whole body scanner that is fast, accurate and easy to use will be well served by the Whole Body Color 3D Scanner (Model WBX). Using patented Cyberware technology, the Whole Body Color 3D Scanner takes hundreds of thousands of measurements of the human body in just 17 seconds. Absolutely no body contact is involved, and the laser scanner is as harmless as the commonplace supermarket bar-code scanner. Four scanheads collect 3D measurements, every 2 mm from head to toe, to create an accurate data set of X, Y, and Z coordinates for shape and 24-bit RGB values for color. The system transfers this data via a USB interface to your computer for immediate viewing. The WBX motion system is designed for heavy use applications and can reliably scan at rates up to one subject every minute, day in and day out. System calibration is set at the factory and requires no operator adjustment or alignment. |

DigiSize, developed by Cyberware, automatically extracts dozens of tailor and anthropological measurements from Whole Body 3D scans. An application of the DigiSize software includes using these measurements to select optimally-sized ready-to-wear garments. Database storage management features simplify the retrieval of useful information from thousands of 3D scan files. DigiSize provides the scan operator with a simplified interface for ease of use in real-time scan sessions. There is also the capability to run batch mode measurement and size selection on existing 3D scan files. An integrated set of statistics and distribution tools are included to assist in the analysis of the measurements. Click on the images to either side for some examples of DigiSize in use. |

CySize, developed by headus, operates as a virtual tape measure, allowing the user to extract point, length, area and volume measurements from a wide range of 3D mesh data, not just 3D scans of people. The measurement points and curves are placed on the 3D mesh by the user. As an aid to locating points, color markers can be placed on the subject being scanned and these will seen by the user when the scan is loaded. Because of its flexibility, CySize can be used to take any number of non-standard measurements of people in standard or unusual poses.
