The spout of the teapot can also be made by skinning between cross-sections. Again, the rest of the teapot mesh is hidden. Then the spout is viewed from the side to cut the cross-sections, and then from the front to cut the profile line.

The cross-sections and profile slice are interpolated and read into the modeler to create the surface.

| Stage 5: Finishing Off |
The spout and handle surface are extended till they intersect with the teapot body. Then fillet surfaces are created for a smooth join.
